Cadman Cranes assist with rainwater solution for new Sky TV/HBO series

We were recently out on a new television series shoot for Sky TV/HBO with an A-list celebrity in the middle of a field at a secret sunny location in Essex assisting Edwards Lifting Services Limited with our 60-tonne all terrain Tadano Faun ATF 60-3 all-terrain mobile crane.

Using its luffing fly jib to ensure the crane was kept out of shot at all times, our job was to support an artificial rain bar water dispenser that was connected to a water tank within a fire engine, allowing the producers to turn on the downpour as and when needed.

The ability to produce effective and realistic artificial rain or ‘wetdowns’ on queue is a common request from TV and film producers. Wet-downs might be required for reasons other than the effect of rain, such as use in night shots to provide a natural reflective lighting.

Utilising our diverse fleet of cranes, we are always able to find solutions to some of the most challenging scenarios produced by our customers. We like to see ourselves as more than just mobile crane hire providers but more solution providers.

If you would like to enquire about hiring one of our cranes for your project we would love to hear from you. Just visit the Contact page to speak to a member of the team.
