Testimonial

Forming great working relationships

“A short while ago we contacted you to conduct a Contract Lift to lift in some concrete plinths on a restricted, awkward site at short notice.

Other crane firms we had approached let us down constantly. Your workforce engaged with us from day one to find solutions to the problems.

It has been an outstanding effort from all your workforce. Thank you for a successful outcome.

Your company has been a pleasure to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend your company to anyone.”

What is a contract lift?

Contract lifting is a fully managed approach to hiring a crane.

This arrangement ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations, reducing the risk associated with lifting operations.

Planning is taken care of with a site assessment to determine the appropriate equipment, and a lift plan to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Insurance is also provided, in addition to the various equipment and personnel you will need.

A contract lift is suited towards customers looking for a complete turnkey solution, where we take full responsibility for managing the lifting operations.

Frequently asked contract lifting questions

Our contract lifting service takes the stress out of complex lifting projects. This FAQ section answers some commonly asked questions to help you understand the benefits, process, and what to expect when choosing us for your contract lifting needs.

  • With crane hire, you, the customer, are responsible for all aspects of the lifting operation, including hiring a qualified lift management company and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Contract lifting, on the other hand, is a more comprehensive service. We take care of everything, from providing the crane and operator to planning the lift, coordinating with relevant personnel, and ensuring all safety and insurance regulations are met.

  • There are several benefits. Firstly, it reduces the burden on you as the customer. We handle all the complexities of your lifting project, allowing you to focus on other aspects of your operation. Secondly, our experienced team ensures the lift is planned and executed safely and efficiently. Finally, we have the expertise and necessary insurances to mitigate any risks associated with the lift.

  • We can handle a wide variety of lifting projects. This includes installing machinery, lifting pre-fabricated structures, placing bridge beams, or relocating maritime equipment . If you have a specific lifting requirement, contact us to discuss its feasibility.

  • The cost depends on several factors, such as the size and weight of the load, the complexity of the lift, and the duration of the project. We will work with you to understand your specific needs and provide a competitive quote that fits within your budget.

  • In most cases, you simply need to provide details about the load that needs lifting, the lifting location, and your desired timeframe. Our team will then handle all the planning, logistics, and execution of the lift.

How does it differ from usual crane hire?

Contract lifting in the UK provides you with ultimate protection and simplifies the process for those without prior experience in lifting operations.

In contrast to regular mobile crane hire in the UK, a contract lift offers a more comprehensive service. The crane company takes responsibility for the entire lifting operation, providing a certified operator, lift planner (appointed person), and any other personnel required for a safe lift. They will also handle all the planning tasks like risk assessments and creating lift plans to ensure everything complies with safety regulations.

By choosing a contract lift, you benefit from reduced workload on your part, greater assurance of safety, and the expertise of the crane company to handle your lifting job smoothly.
