Introducing the Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2

We are over the moon to announce that our brand new 90-tonne Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 has joined the fleet, strengthening our varied selection of mobile cranes to a total of 24 vehicles available for hire on both CPA Crane Hire and Contract Lift options.

This 90 tonne, four-axle crane, which was launched at CONEXPO in Las Vegas last year, can travel in the UK complete with its 22.5 tonne counterweight and fly jib and remain within STGO regulations. This capability, coupled with its 60 m telescopic main boom that has impressive duties for radius working, makes it a versatile addition to the UK’s four-axle crane market.

Our new LTM 1090-4.2 is equipped with Liebherr’s VarioBase® system and benefits from the manual VarioBallast® system as standard. First introduced on the LTM 1160-5.2 mobile crane, VarioBallast® enables the LTM 1090-4.2 to achieve maximum lifting capacities with a larger ballast radius, whilst the smaller radius option provides benefits in constricted working conditions. The new crane’s entire counterweight can be removed quickly to reduce axle loads to 10 tonnes per axle with 0 tonne counterweight duties possible. The LTM 1090-4.2 also boasts a narrow chassis and generous storage space.

Commercial Director, Matt Waddingham, commented:

“We are delighted to be one of the first companies in the UK to take delivery of Liebherr’s new LTM1090-4.2 – continuing our support for Liebherr and our commitment to quality and growth. The crane is a beast with incredible duties and manoeuvrability. We really cannot wait for our customers to see it in action.”

This crane is now available for hire on either a CPA Crane Hire or Contract Lift basis. If you are unsure on what service you require, please visit our Crane Hire page. If you would like to view the technical specifications of the Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 including its duty chart, please click here.
